Who reads Peoples Feed

Peoples Feed reports on named people creating change in India: civil servants, doctors, academics, scientists, diplomats, defence personnel, social workers and policy makers. Our readers are the people around that world. Aspirants preparing for the civil services and other public examinations, officers and administrators, hospital and university leadership, researchers, communications teams inside institutions, journalists and students.

If your product, institution or programme belongs in front of that audience, this page tells you exactly what we sell, what we do not, and how it is labelled.

The one rule that governs everything on this page

News coverage is not for sale on Peoples Feed. Advertising buys attention. It does not buy an article, a headline, a byline, a place in our editorial pages, a favourable line, an interview, inclusion in a list, or the removal of something already published. There is no rate card for editorial coverage, because it is not a product.

Every commercial conversation we have starts with this sentence, and it does not change on the second call. If somebody has told you they can place a Peoples Feed story for a fee, they are misrepresenting us, and we would like to know: connect@peoplesfeed.in.

What you can buy

1. Display advertising

Standard display placements across the site: leaderboard, in-article, sidebar and footer units, on desktop and mobile. Sold directly by us, or served programmatically by our advertising partners. Bought by impression or by period.

  • All display creatives are visually distinct from editorial content and are marked as advertising.
  • We cap the number of units per page so articles stay readable, and we do not run interstitials that block an article on mobile.
  • No pop-ups over an article body, no auto-playing audio, no creatives that mimic our editorial layout, our fonts or our bylines.

2. Sponsored articles

A full article written to promote your organisation, product, programme or event, published on peoplesfeed.in/ and labelled as sponsored.

  • You may supply the copy, or our brand desk can write it to your brief. It is never written by the reporter who covers the related beat.
  • You approve the final text, because it is your content.
  • It carries no Peoples Feed reporter byline. It is bylined to your organisation or to “Peoples Feed Brand Desk”.
  • We will decline copy that makes a claim we consider false, that attacks a named individual, that makes medical, health or financial claims we cannot see evidence for, or that would breach Indian law or advertising standards. We will tell you why, and we will suggest what would work.

3. Newsletter sponsorship

A clearly marked sponsor slot in a Peoples Feed newsletter edition: a logo, a short message and a link. Sold per edition or as a series.

4. Event, webinar and report partnerships

Partnering on an event, a panel, a webinar or a research report, with named sponsorship and agreed branding. The editorial content of any associated article is decided by us, or the piece is labelled as sponsored. There is no middle position.

5. Recruitment listings

Listings for institutions hiring into the sectors we cover. Clearly marked as listings, not as coverage.

6. Syndication and licensing

A licence to republish Peoples Feed material in your publication, intranet, newsletter or report, with attribution and a link. Priced per article or per period. This is a licence to reuse what we already published. It is not a way to commission what we publish.

How sponsored content is labelled

Our labelling rule is simple: a reader must be able to tell in one second, without scrolling and without clicking, that they are reading paid content.

  • The word Sponsored appears at the top of the page, above the headline, in a size no smaller than the byline, in a colour that meets accessibility contrast requirements, and visible without scrolling on both mobile and desktop.
  • The sponsor is named in the label. “Sponsored by [Organisation]”, not a bare “Partner content” or “Promoted”.
  • The label is repeated at the foot of the article, with one line explaining what sponsored content means on Peoples Feed and a link to this page.
  • No Peoples Feed reporter byline. The byline is the sponsor or “Peoples Feed Brand Desk”.
  • Sponsored pieces are excluded from our news feeds, from the news sections of our newsletters and from category archives wherever the platform allows it, and are tagged so they are identifiable in our sitemap and feeds.
  • Outbound links in sponsored content carry the rel="sponsored" attribute.
  • Sponsored content is not submitted to Google News as a news article.
  • The label is never removed later. A sponsored article stays labelled for as long as it exists.
  • Where an editorial article happens to mention a current advertiser or sponsor, we disclose the relationship inside that article.

Our advertising standards

We reserve the right to decline or withdraw any advertisement or sponsorship. We will not knowingly carry:

  • Advertising for tobacco, vaping products, or any product whose advertising is prohibited under Indian law.
  • Gambling, betting and real-money gaming, and surrogate advertising for any prohibited category.
  • Unregistered financial products, unregistered investment advisory services, guaranteed-return schemes, crypto trading schemes and loan offers that do not disclose the lender and the rate.
  • Health and medical claims without evidence, miracle cures, unapproved treatments and weight-loss claims of the usual kind.
  • Fake job offers, visa and immigration guarantees, and examination guarantees of any description.
  • Vanity awards, paid honorary doctorates, paid “top 10” listings and similar credential mills. This category is directly adverse to what Peoples Feed exists to do.
  • Political party advertising, candidate advertising and issue advertising placed by a political party, at any time.
  • Advertising that attacks a named individual, or that is discriminatory on the basis of religion, caste, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or place of birth.
  • Creatives designed to look like a Peoples Feed article, a system alert or a download button.
  • Any advertising targeted at children, and any advertising that relies on tracking or behavioural monitoring of children. See our Privacy Policy.

Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their creatives, and for holding the rights to everything in them. Our full terms on advertising are at sections 8 and 12 of our Terms and Conditions.

The firewall, stated plainly

Peoples Feed is a small newsroom and its proprietor is also its Editor. Rather than describe an org chart we do not have, here are the rules we actually operate.

  • Commercial enquiries go to connect@peoplesfeed.in and are handled there. Reporters are not told who is advertising and are never asked to write about an advertiser.
  • No advertiser or sponsor sees an editorial article before publication. The only exception is their own sponsored content, which is theirs and is labelled as theirs.
  • Advertising cannot trigger, delay or kill an editorial article. If an advertiser withdraws spend because of our coverage, we publish the coverage.
  • Every commercial arrangement is recorded in writing, including the labelling that was agreed.
  • Our funding, and what proportion of it comes from where, is disclosed on our Ownership and Funding page.

How to get started

  1. Write to connect@peoplesfeed.in with your organisation, what you want to achieve, your rough budget and your timing. We reply within 2 working days.
  2. We send you current availability, formats, specifications and pricing. We do not publish a rate card, because rates vary by format and period.
  3. We agree the format, the schedule and, for sponsored content, the labelling in writing before anything is produced.
  4. You send creatives or copy to the specifications we provide, with confirmation that you hold the rights to all material in them.
  5. We publish, and we send you a report at the end of the campaign.

Payment terms, GST invoicing and cancellation terms are set out in the individual order we issue. Incunation Global’s GST registration number is 09BSAPR8473B1ZJ.

Complaints about advertising

If you have seen an advertisement on peoplesfeed.in/ that you believe breaches the standards above, tell us at connect@peoplesfeed.in with the page URL and a screenshot. We will investigate, and we will block the creative where we can. If the complaint concerns a sponsored article, our Grievance Officer handles it at grievance@peoplesfeed.in, under the process on our Grievance Redressal page.
