Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data peoplesfeed.in/ collects about you, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it.
Peoples Feed is published by Incunation Global, a sole proprietorship based in Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. The proprietor is Dr. Mayank Raj. Incunation Global is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, which in the language of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 means we decide the purpose and means of processing it. You are the Data Principal.
This policy applies to peoplesfeed.in/, our newsletters and our contact and submission forms. It does not apply to other websites we link to, or to social media platforms where you may interact with us. Those have their own policies.
Effective from 11 September 2026.
The short version
- You can read Peoples Feed without giving us your name.
- We collect an email address only if you give it to us, for a newsletter, a form or a comment.
- We use analytics to count visits. We may show advertising, which uses cookies.
- We do not sell your personal data. We never have and we will not.
- You can ask us what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, and nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or are incapacitated.
- To do any of that, write to grievance@peoplesfeed.in.
What personal data we collect

2. Data collected automatically when you visit
- Server logs. Our host records your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, your browser type and your operating system. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults.
- Analytics data. Pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from IP at city or region level, device type, screen size, the source that sent you to us, and whether you are a new or returning visitor. Our analytics provider is described below.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Small files stored by your browser. What they are and how to turn them off is set out in our Cookie Policy.
- Push notification identifiers, if you opt in to browser push notifications. This is a device token, not your name. Declining or revoking push permission removes it.
3. Data we do not collect
We do not ask for and do not want your Aadhaar number, PAN, bank details, payment card details, government identity numbers, health data, biometric data, caste, religion or political affiliation. Please do not send them to us. If you do send them, we will delete them and tell you that we have.
Why we process your data, and on what basis
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, personal data may be processed for a lawful purpose for which you have given consent, or for certain legitimate uses defined in the Act. Our grounds are:

Journalism and personal data about people we report on
Peoples Feed reports on named people. Where we publish a person’s name, designation, institution and what they did in their public or professional role, we are doing so as journalism, using information drawn from documents already in the public domain: gazette notifications, government orders, official pages, court records, published papers and public statements.
Our own editorial rules go beyond what data protection law asks of us. We do not publish a living person’s private contact details, home address or residential location. We do not publish private life, health, family, finances, caste, religion or sexual orientation unless it is demonstrably the subject of the public act being reported. We do not name or make identifiable anyone under 18 in a story about wrongdoing, crime, a medical matter, an examination failure or a family dispute. See our Editorial Policy.
If you are the subject of an article and believe it contains a factual error, write to corrections@peoplesfeed.in. If you believe it breaches the Code of Ethics, write to grievance@peoplesfeed.in. A request to remove an accurate, lawfully published article is handled as a grievance under the Grievance Redressal process and not as a data erasure request, because it engages press freedom as well as privacy.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data and we do not trade mailing lists. We share data only with the service providers we need to run the site, and only to the extent they need it. Each of these is a Data Processor acting on our instructions or an independent controller of the data it collects through your browser.

Some of these providers are outside India and your data may be processed abroad. The DPDP Act, 2023 permits transfer of personal data outside India except to a country or territory restricted by the Central Government by notification. We do not transfer personal data to any territory so restricted.
We may also disclose personal data where we are required to by law, by a court order or by a lawful direction from a government agency, and where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, or to protect the safety of any person.
Cookies
peoplesfeed.in/ uses strictly necessary cookies, preference cookies, analytics cookies and, where advertising is served, advertising cookies. Non-essential cookies are set only after you accept them in the consent banner, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. How long we keep things

When personal data is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, and we are not required to keep it for a legal or compliance purpose, we erase it.
How we protect your data
- The site is served over HTTPS.
- Administrative access is limited to the people who need it, with individual accounts and multi-factor authentication where the platform supports it.
- We keep the content management system, themes and plugins on a controlled update schedule and apply security patches after testing.
- We do not store payment data at all.
- If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and each affected Data Principal in the manner and within the period prescribed under the DPDP Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, and we will tell you what happened, what data was involved and what you should do.
No system is perfectly secure. We do not claim ours is.
Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the following rights as a Data Principal. These are the rights the Act actually names.

You may also withdraw your consent at any time where we are relying on it, and withdrawal is as easy as giving it. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
How to exercise a right
Write to grievance@peoplesfeed.in with the subject line “DPDP request”, and tell us:
- Which right you are exercising.
- The email address, display name or other identifier you used on our site, so we can find your data.
- Where you are asking for correction, what the correct value is.
- Where you are nominating someone, the nominee’s name and contact details.
We may ask you for enough information to satisfy ourselves that the request is genuinely yours. We do not charge a fee.
Your duties as a Data Principal
Section 15 of the DPDP Act, 2023 places duties on you as well. In summary, you must not impersonate another person when providing personal data, must not suppress material information, must not register a false or frivolous grievance or complaint, and must furnish only authentic information when exercising your right to correction or erasure.
Children’s data
peoplesfeed.in/ is a general news publication. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Under Section 9 of the DPDP Act, 2023 a child is a person who has not completed 18 years of age. Before processing a child’s personal data we are required to obtain the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, and we must not undertake tracking or behavioural monitoring of children or targeted advertising directed at children.
Our approach is therefore simple. We ask readers under 18 not to submit personal data to our newsletter, comment or contact forms. If we learn that we hold personal data of a person under 18 without verifiable parental consent, we delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal data, write to grievance@peoplesfeed.in and we will delete it.

Grievance redressal and our data protection contact
We publish the contact details of the person who can answer questions about our processing of personal data, as the DPDP Rules, 2025 require.

Incunation Global has not been notified as a Significant Data Fiduciary by the Central Government, so the mandatory appointment of a Data Protection Officer under Section 10 of the DPDP Act, 2023 does not currently apply to us. We have designated the contact above voluntarily so that you always have a named person to write to. If we are ever notified as a Significant Data Fiduciary, we will appoint a Data Protection Officer and update this page.
Our timelines
- We acknowledge a data protection request or complaint within 3 working days.
- We aim to resolve it within 30 days.
- In every case we will respond within the period permitted under the DPDP Rules, 2025, which is a reasonable period not exceeding 90 days from receipt of the grievance.
If you are not satisfied
If we do not respond, or you are not satisfied with our response, you may make a complaint to the Data Protection Board of India constituted under the DPDP Act, 2023, in the manner the Board prescribes.

Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and whenever we add or change a service provider, a form or a tracking technology. The effective date and the last updated date at the foot of this page always reflect the current version. Where a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell newsletter subscribers by email before it takes effect.
